Step 1: Approval of Application
The hiring process begins with the approval of an application. Application forms can be downloaded and mailed to our HR department.
Step 2: Criminal Background Check and Driving Record Check
After the approval of an application, the applicant will sign a release form that authorizes SWD to check the criminal background and driving record of the applicant.
Step 3: Signature of Conditional Job Offer
After the background check and driving record results are approved, a conditional job offer is completed and the applicant is sent for a physical and drug/alcohol screen.
Step 4: Physical Evaluation (Based on Job Description) and Drug / Alcohol Screen
SWD's occupational health care professionals will perform physical evaluation on each perspective employee to determine physical eligibility to perform tasks per each job description.
Step 5: Completion of Hiring Package
Upon approval of results from Step 4, SWD's employee orientation meeting is held:
